Following your excitement, embracing your resonance, expressing your truth — that’s not only about which actions to take. It’s also about which thoughts to energize.

Think about this… What’s the most exciting way in which you can think about whatever you’re thinking about?

Thought, in a way, is another form of action. It’s something we get to do.

Therefore, the idea of acting on your excitement can be applied not only to “external” action, but to “internal” action as well.

At any given moment, we can inquire our imagination for the most exciting/resonant way to thinking about what we’re thinking about.

What would be the most exciting — while relevant — though to have?

Excitement is then not just an energy to drive action. It’s also an energy from which to derive an empowered and light way to relate to whatever is going on.

Interpreting. Giving meaning to things. Those acts of thought define our way of relating to circumstances and, therefore, how we get to experience and feel about those things.

What then, is the most exciting interpretation and meaning you can give to what you’re facing?

Let’s be clear: there’s excitement to be experienced in depth and practicality and in owning responsibility. So I’m not particularly referring to giving circumstances the most pollyannaish meaning possible.

I’m just pointing at the fact that the game of excitement is to be played at the level of thought, interpretation, and meaning, as well.

And in the dynamic of relating to things and circumstances.

This is why a challenge can be exciting. Even “bad” things can be embraced as such.

Because excitement is both about expressing out and bringing in the full energy of your being, as much as you can.

How can you be fascinated by things you’re challenged by?

Here’s one way: get curious as to which can be the most exciting way to think about, and relate to, what you have at hand.

From there, act. In fascination about your excitement and the many ways in which you can embrace it.
